The estate, a sizeable property, specializes in viticulture, but it is as well an all-around agricultural operation, raising cattle, producing olive oil, and growing wheat in addition to tending its vineyards.
These are quite extesive, over 160 acres, and they have been entirely replanted in recent years. And with entirely different criteria: the original overhead training system, which they themselves call part of “the Abruzzo of quantity”, suitable for producing a crop with a heavy tonnage but little else, have been replaced with up to date structures with 1600 to 2600 vines per hectares.
