Atha Ruja Wines
The vines are planted downstream from Oddoene (15 minutes from Dorgali), which is an ideal starting point for visiting some of the most fascinating beauty spots in Sardinia: the bay of Cala Gonone, the nuragic village of Tiscali and “Su Gorroppu”, the deepest canyon in Europe.
The winery cultivates and prepares the Cannonau, Carignano and Bovale Sardo red grapes in this natural amphitheatre, in a climate ventilated by the typical Mediterranean breezes, significant temperature variations and characterised by its homogeneous alluvial soil.
Winemaker Marco Bernabei has been working alongside the producers ever since the cellar opened and, in a balance between passion, innovation and tradition, has always continued his search for excellence.
Open to the public for guided tours and tastings, the Atha Ruja vineyards offer visitors a rich wine tasting programme with the winery’s three top labels. Several excellent Cannonau wines are available for tasting, only topped by the Kuéntu Reserve (from the Sardinian/Spanish <>, meaning <>)
