Wines
The winery now produces about 14 million bottles in its two production cellars, La-Vis and the Cembra Cantina di Montagna; the wine is produced in 1000 hectares of vineyards along the Adige valley in the Trentino and in the hills and on the characteristic terraces around the Cembra Valley by 1000 wine producing members dedicated to a vine growing area whose specific territorial productivity and quality has become its emblem.
The cooperative’s leading products also include the Sauvignon Vigna Maso Tratta, the Chardonnay Del Diaòl and the Gewürtraminer Vigna Maso Clinga: three references from the Ritratti line, emblematic of this winery.
Apart from the classic whites of the region, La Vis aims to show that the Trentino can also be appreciated for its Reds and the Pinot Nero Vigna di Saosent, the Teroldego Rover (Pirata) and the Lagrein Dürer Weg Masetti Cent’Anni are just a few of the red selections that La Vis can boast about. In 1980 Cantina La-Vis was the first winery in Italy to follow a "zoning", project, based on planting "the right variety of vine in the right place".
This method is still is a key element in the quality of the wines: the studies and research behind the "Quality Project" linked to the zoning has allowed the La-Vis agronomists and winemakers to isolate and identify some of the finest vineyards, whose products eventually created the Ritratti, Autoctoni and Bio lines.
